Well I don't know if this means anything but... I have just put into my .emacs the commands to get the frame to the correct size. What I have discovered is that the reason the two versions has different frame sizes was that the fonts were different. The smaller made a smaller window, the other with larger font, made its window too large. I have no idea what this means except that maybe the emacs widget set should eb updated, but if someone else is getting similar wierdness this might help them get a consistency of experience. later, rohan |
