Hello everyone and happy new year.
Has anyone see this happening, and have a solution, or know at least
why it might be happening?
It only happens with emacs (which makes me suspicious that it is emacs
not playing nicely more than anything).
When I start emacs up on a switch manager it does not size itself
properly, so if I start it locally it is about 20 pixels from the
bottom, and if it start it (for dev) using ssh -Y, then it is too long
cutting off the minibuffer and lowest modeline.
Yes, that's a known "malicious" behaviour of emacs; afaik it does not
properly respect the size it is given according to the ICCCM. You can
also make it fit by resizing the split a pixel in some direction
afterwards. But you could add an item to the wishlist for a workaround
P.S. I have also noticed that xmms can only be grabbed in the move
manager if you have the window decorations option enabled.
Yes, "no decorations" does not work in Orion, yet. Imho, that would be a
"bigger wish", if you want to add it ;-)
