Able to access the running orion?

Hi again,

I am wondering if it is possible to access the running orion
process/environment to be able to make adjustments and 
interactively test code.  Something like the sawfish-client
is what I am thinking of.

I would like to try out alternative configurations before 
committing them to the config file.
