I, for one, prefer newsgroups. We have a 30 Mb quota on mailbox size
here, which is not a lot as soon as you subscribe to a few mailing
lists. For that reason, I read all the mailing lists which interest me
through gmane (http://gmane.org/), a mail-to-news gateway.

So, if the ML is also archived at gmane, I have no real objection,
apart from the fact that I do not see a real need to remove the
newsgroup.
