I can't believe I was so remiss as to omit that information.  It's 0.6.0.

I used the version that's included in Debian Woody, so I'm not sure
how to answer that.  Here's how they configured and built it, if
that's relevant:

    export CFLAGS = -O2 -Wall

    ./configure --prefix=/usr
    $(MAKE)
