I've downloaded and installed scsh quite easily, and with no problems. I
have had some problems with the SUnet web server which is written in
scsh, and I think that they are using the SUnet web and FTP servers for
the website, which might explain why your download wasn't working.
Anyhow, just because someone doesn't like Unix or C doesn't mean that
they have something better. It just means that they would like something
better, which is what they are working towards with scsh. If you look
carefully, scsh has a version number of 0.6.1. That implies prerelease
to me.
