May I suggest that posts whose subject lines contain the strings
Osterhout and Tcl lost the plot
    Object IDs
    Reply to
    Lisp is neither
are perhaps not appropriate for the scsh news group? It's not that the related
issues are *never* appropriate for the scsh news group, but we have been at
it a while, and it does seem to be a bit tangential at this point.

Of course, many posters on these topics won't even see this msg, as
they won't be readers of comp.lang.scheme.scsh, but of some other newsgroup,
and we'll be getting their posts courtesy (I use the term loosely) of the
automatic-reply features in netnews readers, when handed these fairly
broadly cross-posted articles.

You may wish to so inform such persons, should future cross-posts appear.
Feel free to quote me.

Posts whose subject lines contain the strings
    regexp
    scripting
    0.5
    bug
    shell
or deal with issues such as
Why Scheme (or scsh) sucks as a systems programming language
Why Scheme (or scsh) is great as a systems programming language
How to fix Scheme's (or scsh's) problems as a systems programming language
Something cool you did with scsh
would be most welcome and certainly make for a refreshing change of pace.

    Yours for a varied diet,
    Olin
