I had some trouble building on my pentium pro linux; namely, I
couldn't. It was unable to recognize the i686-unknown-linux
configuration, and I was unable to over-ride it by using ./configure
--target=i586-unknown-linux. So I built it on a pentium
(i586-*-linux), and it worked fine. But how would you make it work on
a 686?
