   Really?  Now that I'm picking up an interest in Scheme several years
   after having been first exposed to it in 6.001 freshman, everyone else
   is moving away. Sad.

I was ambiguous. There's one guy hacking *on* the MIT Scheme implementation
(Stephen Adams), and a bunch of guys *using* MIT Scheme. Briefly put, however,
the Swiss group doesn't do language research; they are currently working on
solutions of massively-parallel processors you could, for example, spray-paint
on a surface -- "gunk" is the technical term for it.
