LaTeX 2e A4 style file?

If one of you Europeans will send me a reasonable style file for A4 paper that
works with LaTeX 2e, I'll retypeset the manual for A4 paper. (I've already
tried and failed with the LaTeX 2.09 A4 styles I used when I lived in Asia.)

When I get a moment, I'll also install the TeX sources in the distribution,
but I'm in grant-proposal hell for a week or two.

Some nice volunteer might also feel the call to update our 0.3 cheat.txt
file.
