2 quick points:
1) on Solaris 2.4, /usr/ccs/bin/ar doesn't allow embedded archives; eg,
ar: scsh/regexp/libregexp.a is in archive format - embedded archives are not
allowed
No big deal, just install GNU's ar, make sure /usr/local/bin/ar is before
/usr/ccs/bin, and all is fine..
2) in the TODO, you (Brian, I assume..) mention that an alpha port
would be nice. I'd think so too, but I *believe* the
code base depends on a 32-bit architecture? Anyway, running
mx on the Ultrix version worked fine for me on the 0.3
version (if I recall correctly..). The 0.4 version looks like
it's doable (I just mx'ed scshvm to see), but I haven't looked
at the pieces enough to know where all the external refs that
the new vm complains about are. Mx did produce a crippled version
that's enough to do simply file manipulations with. I'll let
you know if I get all the pieces together.
