In the Makefile generated by the configure procedure under NeXTstep v2.1 (black hardware), there are a few bugs: 1. CFLAGS gets set to -cckr; cc doesn't recognize this option. 2. Line 269 starts with a <space><tab> instead of just a plain tab (third line of the check: target). 3. Several targets which run mkdir fail because a directory already exists. Replacing with -mkdir helped.
