I read it, I like it, and have only one small suggestion: maybe you
could explain a bit the "buffer-size" argument of md5-digest-for-port,
by saying in which unit it is expressed (I would guess bytes), and
what the default value is.

I also found one or two typos in the part you added about the new
command-line switches. I attached below a patch for the file
doc/scsh-manual/running.tex containing my modifications. Since some of
these modifications are of stylistic nature, you might not want to
apply them all.
